Terms of Service
These terms set out the rules for using MotoVolume. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
At a glance
- MotoVolume helps motorcycle riders by adjusting media volume based on speed.
- It is an aid, not a safety device. You remain responsible for safe riding at all times.
- You can use the free version or pay for a Premium subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed by Google Play. You can cancel any time through Google Play account settings.
1. Acceptance
By installing, opening, or otherwise using MotoVolume, you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, please uninstall the app and do not use it.
2. The service
MotoVolume reads your phone's GPS speed and adjusts the system media volume in real time, so that music remains audible against wind and engine noise while you ride.
MotoVolume does not control any music application directly. It only adjusts the system audio channel — the same channel your phone's volume rocker controls. Your music app (Spotify, YouTube Music, etc.) is unaffected.
3. License
Subject to these terms, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use MotoVolume on devices you own or control, for lawful personal use.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where permitted by applicable law.
- Distribute, sublicense, lease, sell, or otherwise transfer the app or any portion of it.
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage or impair the service.
4. Subscriptions
Plans and pricing
MotoVolume offers a free version with a default speed-volume curve, and a Premium subscription (monthly or annual) that unlocks customization features. Current prices are displayed in the app and on Google Play at the time of purchase.
Billing
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. By starting a subscription, you authorize the recurring charge through your Google Play account.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in line with Google Play's standard subscription rules.
Cancellation
You can cancel at any time through your Google Play account settings (Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Premium access until then.
Refunds
Refund handling follows Google Play's refund policy. For refund requests, please contact Google Play directly.
5. Rider responsibilities
MotoVolume is an aid, not a substitute for safe riding. By using the app, you agree that:
- You hold a valid motorcycle driver's license under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- You operate your motorcycle in accordance with all applicable traffic laws.
- You mount your phone safely; you do not hold or interact with it while riding.
- Your attention belongs on the road. The app is intentionally designed to require no interaction during a ride.
- You assume full responsibility for the consequences of your riding.
MotoVolume does not measure traffic conditions, road quality, weather, or your alertness. It does not warn you of hazards. Use sound judgment, ride within your skill, and follow the law.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
MotoVolume is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will operate without interruption or error, that GPS readings will always be accurate, or that the app will function correctly in every environment.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither Süleyman Felek nor MotoVolume will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app — including but not limited to motorcycle accidents, traffic violations, or personal injuries.
Total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to Premium features in case of subscription non-payment, fraud, or material misuse, in line with Google Play's standard terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service. The updated version is published here with a new effective date. Material changes will be summarized in-app at the next release. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms will be subject to the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul, Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
