These terms set out the rules for using GapJam. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
By creating an account, installing, or using GapJam, you accept these Terms of Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use GapJam. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the app.
GapJam is a social app for collaborative short music videos. Each post is a 2×2 grid of up to four video clips recorded by different users. You can record clips, join other people's posts, comment, send direct messages, like, and follow other users.
You are responsible for your account and for the activity that happens under it. Provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us of any unauthorized use. You may not impersonate others or create accounts to evade enforcement actions.
You keep ownership of the videos, comments, and other content you create ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Süleyman Felek a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content within the GapJam app and its normal features (for example, showing your clip in feeds and on profiles, and combining the four clips of a post into one synced video). This license exists only so the app can operate and ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal or safety reasons.
You are responsible for your User Content and confirm that you have the rights to post it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights (including copyright in music or recordings) or break the law.
GapJam has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to create, upload, post, send, or share content that:
You also agree not to harass, abuse, impersonate, or threaten other users.
Every post, comment, and message can be reported, and any user can be blocked, directly inside the app. When you block someone, their content is hidden from you and yours from them, and they cannot message you.
When you report content, it is hidden from you while we review it. We review reported content and remove anything that violates these terms, normally within 24 hours, and we may suspend or permanently remove the users responsible.
To keep GapJam safe, we use both automated and human moderation:

Subject to these terms, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use GapJam on devices you own or control, for lawful personal use. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the app, except where permitted by applicable law, and you may not use the app in any way that could damage or impair the service.
The GapJam app, name, and design are owned by Süleyman Felek. These terms do not grant you any rights in them beyond using the app as intended.
GapJam is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be available.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither Süleyman Felek nor GapJam will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the app or any User Content. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is zero).
You may stop using GapJam at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, in line with the enforcement rules above.
We may update these Terms of Service. The updated version is published here with a new effective date. Material changes will be summarized in-app at the next release. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms will be subject to the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul, Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
